OBGYN (Obstetrics & Gynecology) of North Haven was started by C.P.Noel McCarthy, M.D., who began practicing medicine in North Haven, Connecticut in 1967, and established the current practice in 1972.
C.P.Noel McCarthy, M.D. opened the original office at 460 State street in North Haven in 1977, and also saw patients at an Office in Guilford, Connecticut. In July 1989, Craig R. Huttler M.D. joined the practice and opened another office in Wallingford, Connecticut in 1991.
With the unfortunate passing of Doctor James Brady in 1992, Joseph Grosso, M.D. merged their thriving Hamden and New Haven based practice with OBGYN of North Haven.
Beth Maloy, M.D. became part of the growing practice in 1995 which established its present shape; four physicians and four offices through out the greater New Haven area.
C.P.Noel McCarthy retired in 1999, and Kristina Rath, M.D. was welcomed in 2001. 2006 the practice expanded yet again with the addition of Susan S. Miller, C.N.M., a well established Nurse Midwife, allowing us to offer a wider variety of services and to address a more diverse array of patient interests.
We have surgical and obstetric privileges at both The Hospital of Saint Raphael and Yale New Haven Hospital.
The majority of our obstetric patients do plan to deliver at The Hospital of Saint Raphael, yet we will do our best to accommodate your preference.
There may be times however when we are attending patients at one facility and will be unable to leave. We will ask you to be flexible at these times, and come to the hospital where we are located.
